The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for revenue and profit growth of OGI product lines. You will build relationships with existing customers as well as growing the rep network for all product lines.
Essential Functions

- Promote OGI brand and value.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers for all OGI product lines.
- Develop new business for all OGI product lines
- Work with Marketing Manager to support marketing strategy, including utilization of CRM to establish a customer and prospect database.
- Create and implement effective sales strategies and lead OGI’s manufacturer’s representatives toward achievement of company sales objectives.
- Maintain a high-performance representative organization by engaging, evaluating, and supporting representative companies to support OGI’s goals.
- Meet or exceed annual sales forecasts.
- Negotiate purchase agreements and terms with customers.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (engineering, finance, operations, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Proactively identify changes in the natural gas and industrial markets and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- Attend industry tradeshows, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and may occasionally visit customer sites. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields. Protective toe boots are not required when employee is in designated walkways in the plant.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While preforming duties of this job, the person in this position frequently communicates with employees and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee constantly must remain stationary for long periods of time, while operating a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and laminator.
The employee might occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
On occasion, may be required to visit the shop that is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Technical sales or field sales support experience
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals.
- Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and P&L to meet objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and business Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
- Solid understanding of natural gas, food and beverage, and industrial markets and their respective regulatory requirements and issues.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of management including executive level.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM and ERP software.
- Possess good knowledge of economics and how current market trends influence sales.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills and understanding of engineering and financial principles.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
- 5 years of industrial equipment sales experience.
- 2 years of field experience
- Product and application knowledge of heating equipment and their associated components in oil, gas, and industrial markets
- Experience with ERP and CRM software. Experience with Epicor and Salesforce a plus

The Fitter Welder I is responsible for fitting parts for OGI units.
The Stainless Welder is responsible for fitting stainless steel parts for OGI units.
The Code Fitter Welder is responsible for fitting and welding ASME code x-ray coils.
The Fabrication Lead is a working lead position responsible for performing fabrication duties while providing support to a team of fabricators.
The Plate Roll Operator operates rolling machine to bend metal plates using blueprints, templates, and knowledge of geometry and physical properties of metal
The PLC Programmer creates logic code for programmable devices, assembles and installs electrical control panel assemblies as well as device wiring and Point to Point.
The Testing and Service Support Technician is responsible for conducting thorough testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
The Quality Assurance Inspector has the responsibility to inspect, accept, or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
The Assembly Technician I is responsible for making sure all parts are assembled correctly before passing on to final test.
The Painter is responsible for painting OGI units before and after work is complete to ensure is ready for shipment.
The Warehouse Clerk receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
The Warehouse Manager, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops.
The Painter is responsible for painting OGI units before and after work is complete to ensure is ready for shipment.
The Warehouse Clerk receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
The Warehouse Manager, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
