Summary/Objective

The Warehouse Clerk receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. 

Essential Functions

- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in material, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to accounting for processing.

- Responsible for distributing or allocating specific parts, materials, or components from inventory to support active assembly jobs.

- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

- Open boxes, crates, and other containers.

- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

- Assist in counting of physical inventory.

- Operate forklift and/or pallet jack as needed.

- Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.

- Prepare parcels for mailing.

- Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops.  All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional work hours and weekends may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Local travel may be required to pick up or deliver products in this position.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.

Basic computer skills/knowledge.

Possession of strong organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Clean/safe driving record to operate company vehicle.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

The Fabrication Lead is a working lead position responsible for performing fabrication duties while providing support to a team of fabricators.

Plate Roll Operator

The Plate Roll Operator operates rolling machine to bend metal plates using blueprints, templates, and knowledge of geometry and physical properties of metal

PLC Technician

The PLC Programmer creates logic code for programmable devices, assembles and installs electrical control panel assemblies as well as device wiring and Point to Point.

Testing & Service Support Technician

The Testing and Service Support Technician is responsible for conducting thorough testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.

QA Inspector

The Quality Assurance Inspector has the responsibility to inspect, accept, or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

Assembly Tech

The Assembly Technician I is responsible for making sure all parts are assembled correctly before passing on to final test.

Industrial Painter

The Painter is responsible for painting OGI units before and after work is complete to ensure is ready for shipment.
